A Collective Intelligence and Virtual Presence Platform

Beeing is a firefox plug-in and accompanying website built to unify users who view similar content by allowing them to chat and interact while surfing any site on the web.

Using traffic analytics to determine site relationships and traffic patterns, Beeing can generate crucial data for serving relevant search results.

In six weeks and with only three developers, we were able to develop and deploy a scalable beta, overcoming architectural problems introduced by a previous development team and setting up a solid foundation for future features.

We sprang to work designing a new application architecture from the ground up using some of the web's most versatile technologies.

With Sinatra quickly serving up GET requests, eJabberd supporting scalability into the hundreds of thousands of concurrent users, and Rails' plugin framework accelerating development out of the box, the client was able to see a working demo appear literally before his eyes.
